Sorry for the long delay in posts, things have been mental here over the last month or two. Myself, the little lady and the three terror's moved into our new abode just before December and a week before my college exam were due to start. But with things settling down now I hope to get some painting done and have been dropping some not so subtle hints for Christmas prezzies for myself.....*cough Napoleons' retreat from Moscow sleigh cough*
Happy Christmas to everybody, and a good new year to all. And I hope Santa brings you all what you asked for!!
This blog will hopefully cover my growing Napoleonic armies and
the sporadic large scale single miniatures that catch my butterfly syndromes notice.

So here is just a small update. These were waiting for me when I got home today. This is the beginning of my new British peninsular war army. I have been told that a 32:1 ratio works best with the Perry minis. I am hopping to use them in Black Powder games if I can every find a club to play in Ireland. So if anybody knows of Dublin clubs that play historical I would be obliged if you could let me know..
As I said these are just the beginning I am hoping to do the full 1st Division under Gen. Thomas Graham from August 1811.As such each box of line infantry will represent one battalion in the division. Hopefully I am making sense as I am not used to working in these types of wargames and if I am not somebody please core ct me

A new beginning to an old story
Hello everybody. I have decided to
start a blog to record my wargaming and general miniature panting.
The main reason is to try and spur me on to actually get some work
done. I have only returned to mini painting in the last year or so,
so please bear with me.
Now for a bit of background. I have
painted and gamed with minis since I was young and like many, my
first exposure to models was the airfix and Revel I made with my Dad.
After that I was exposed to Warhammer and the verity of products that
Games Workshop have churned out. These were where I spent my
formative wargaming years and so many birthday presents. But after a
while GW got way to expensive for me, and I left the hobby.
I have picked up things during this
absence but never really got around to painting anything. Everytiime I began to begin again life seemed to take a different turn and my painting took a back seat. Fast-forward; to today and I am a new man looking to re-enter the
hobby of my misbegotten youth. But instead of Warhammer and sci-fi
minis I have decided to pursue historical wargaming. So with any luck
I will have some very nice Napoleonic toys to show you in the near
future.
Thanks for reading.
